The plan to transform East Cleveland got an infusion of funding Tuesday. The Cuyahoga Land Bank announced its Circle East District redevelopment project was awarded $2.3 million from a federal bill that passed in March.
Neighborhood stabilization is a critical element of the Cuyahoga Land Bank’s work and requires a healthy amount of homeownership in the areas we serve.
Solar energy is already on the ground in East Cleveland at the Medical Center Company’s (MCCo) solar field. Soon, even more panels could make their way to a nearby roof.

“We have the opportunity to truly transform a community that desperately needs it,” Roberts said. “Our expectation is there will be roughly 200 new homes in a footprint of about 30 acres. The new homes will be complemented by some townhomes as well.”
The Cuyahoga Land Bank (“CLB”) is seeking proposals from one or more developers interested in participating in the redevelopment of the Circle East District (the “District”) in Northeast Ohio.
